“Train up a child in the way they should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6

The Religious Education/ Sunday School Ministry of our Parish allows our children to learn about our Holy Orthodox Faith and even more so about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This Ministry allows our children the opportunity to gain knowledge about our Orthodox Theology, Tradition, Holy Scripture and much more so that they may grow in the knowledge and wisdom of the Faith. Religious Education is vital for our children so that they grow up truly understanding what our Orthodox Faith is all about and how they can use it within their daily lives. We must teach our children for an early age so that may fully appreciate how our Orthodox Faith will guide their entire lives.

We must remember the words of Fr. Dean, “Children are not the future of our parish, they are the present.” We must bring our children to the Religious Education/Sunday School classes every Sunday so we can educate our children today. If they are not present in our classes today, there will be no future children in our parish tomorrow. Religious Education/Sunday School classes are imperative for our children so they will not miss out on the Good News of Jesus Christ and our Orthodox Faith.

We are fortunate that our children are able to attend the Divine Liturgy every Sunday which is held in our Church proper. All children are asked to by in the Church proper by 10:00 AM. After receiving Holy Communion, the children will retire to their classrooms for their Religious Education until 12:00 Noon.

We encourage all children of our parish, from Pre-Kindergarten to High School, to participate in our Religious Education/Sunday School Ministry. For more information you may contact either Fr. Dean.
